- There may be a better song that describes this truly magical land but it is this song I think of when I find myself traveling across our beautiful country.
- Those amber waves of grain is where I grew up when I spent my early years in Kansas. Yes, if you've never seen those wheat fields they do in fact wave when the wind blows and it is truly an amazing site.
- O beautiful, for spacious skies...like the beautiful skies over Texas...where I spent 6 years of my life...the stars are bright...maybe brighter than anywhere I've ever seen and if you've never spent a 4th of July in Texas, you are truly missing out. The patriotism pours out of nearly every soul in that magnificent land and there's no other place I've visited along the way where the flag is more proudly displayed.
- For purple mountain majesties...my favorite mountains are those found in Colorado...where I hope to own a second home one day and there is no other way to describe those mountains other than majestic.
- Of course I spend most of my time writing about my shining sea found just a few blocks from my house in Naples, Florida...although it's more known as the Gulf of Mexico. The sunsets alone will make you a believer. Naples holds perhaps one of the most dear place in my heart but during this holiday, I'm proud to hold a little piece of all of what America has to offer close to my heart.
- O beautiful, for heroes proved... boy there's no better time like the present to bless our troops fighting every day to protect our freedom and quality of life. How did we get so lucky to live and represent those wanting to purchase tiny pieces of the land of the free?
- Crowning thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea...well, that is what Active Rain has done. I don't know of any other place that better exemplifies the character of the people who are responsible for assisting our great country with the sale and purchase of the American dream.
- If you by chance are not an American or are not familiar with the United States of America, you should take the time to travel through Active Rain...where you have the opportunity to see why we think this country is so great and learn more about some of the people who make this country so great.
