Naples Florida Real Estate: The Cutest Boy I've Ever Seen!

The Cutest Boy I've Ever Seen!

Who knew that I would be (cough cough) 40 before I would see the cutest boy in the whole wide world!  Not that I haven't seen cute boys before but this guy for sure, is the CUTEST BOY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD...at least to me!

He's my son.  Austin Cole Sheridan Lefevre was born June 28, 2009 weighing in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces and is doing awesome!

Now for the rest of you parents out there, I'd love to hear your advice on being a Realtor (or professional) and a parent.  So please take the time and let me know your favorite tricks that help you:

  • Ballance your time
  • Maintain your energy
  • Keep you successful
  • Anything else you find important to share!

Thanks!

We found tying them up and locking them in a vault under water while we could make cold calls worked well for us. At least for a few minutes. -Mrs. Houdini.

As a part time stay at home dad... having help kept my wife and I both successful in 1st:Raising and loving the kids, 2nd:Learning to work together not against one another and 3rd: Successfully helping lots of people into and out of homes with compassion. Having a friend with the same age child who stayed at home and could watch them on a minutes notice sure helped alot too!

Congratulations... He is the cutest boy I've seen too. Mine are girls.

Blessings on Austin Cole and his parents!

Smile..... He is indeed cute. Wait till he is old enough to pinch his cheeks and tells you he's cute. Then that's really funny.

40 and a new mom for the first time?   That is terrific news all around.  No advice here.  I have not been blessed and I am going on 37.

Good luck.

Well, Im not a REALTOR, MOM, or Parent, but I am a boy...wait...hold that thought ...A grown up boy!

Do that math, beautiful parents, beautiful child!  :)

I am very happy for you!   My advice, while the "cutest boy in the world" is sleeping, whisper things in his ear...like, FHA, USDA, Negative Amortization, and such!  That way, he will grow up a Realestate mogul!  :)

Shannon, congratulations on your beautiful baby boy! Children first, work second. When ours were small I was able to stay at home with them. Even though it cost us a lot of money (I was a film producer), I wouldn't trade those years and memories. If you are in a position to do so, kick back and enjoy him! If not, then organize yourself and keep him #1 (and your hubby) and you'll do great!

Enjoy the first year--it will pass so fast.  I have four children and agree with Konnie, these are magical moments and months for baby and mom.  Enjoy him, sleep when he does and as a mother balance will take on a whole new meaning!

Congratulations Shannon!  He is the most goregeous boy in the world!

My recommendations:

1) Love, hug, kiss and encourage generously!  Be strict from the start.  Spank naughty children.  Teach kids early to do chores and make a contribution to the home.

2) Take out a calendar at the beginning of the month and plan something extra fun to do each day.  Schedule a "fun appointment" with your little love.  Add the responsibilities too.   When your little angel is bigger plan the calendar together.  The kids know what they have to look forward to and they know what they are supposed to do.

3) As a mommy and Realtor you are like a pitcher of pink lemonade at a party full of thirsty guests.  If all you do it pour tasty delicious pink lemonade into everyone's glass you will soon be empty.  You've got to fill up your pitcher every day so that you have plenty to give away.  Make an appointment with yourself everyday to fill up your pitcher.  Schedule a massage, nail appointment, hair blow out, a lunch or fun date with your husband, an appointment with your yoga instructor or a shopping appointment.  And stick to it.  Do something fun everyday so you feel giddy and happy and beautiful.

I have 3 kids by marriage (15, 13, 10).  The oldest is entirely unmanageable.  The younger 2 are angels from heaven.  The 2 younger kids have straight A's, are great conversationalists and wonderful company.  They get up and take showers, make their beds, clean their room, do their own laundry, pick up their own dishes, volunteer for anything that needs to be done, wash dishes without being asked and spontaneously straighten things up or start dusting without being asked.   I miss them when they are gone.  I love their company!

Just about every minute spent with the 2 angels is FUN!  I don't have to manage them, correct them or tell them what to do.  We get to enjoy eachother's company, talk about things and do fun stuff.  When I come home the house is pretty tidy and my husband has dinner ready.  All that I need to do is take a shower and have fun with my family.

The oldest hard to manage kid is nearly always pure torture.  Our life is correction and management and one giant power struggle.  Fun is not a major part of our relationship.  His mom doesn't believe in spanking children.  His mom believes kids should be allowed to be their own person.  He has no structure in his life.  He can't be trusted to remember to take a shower, brush his teeth or put on deoderant without being told to do it.  I'm relieved when he leaves.

When I ask the 2 angels why they are so good they tell me that they are good because their mom spanked them when they were bad when they were little.  They tell me they know exactly what they are supposed to do and they know if they don't do what they are supposed to do they will get spanked.

Good luck!  You would not be the success in real estate that you are if you weren't an expert at managing your time, obligations and your relationships.  You're going to be the GREATEST MOM IN THE WORLD!

With love, respect and admiration,
Maya

Thank you everybody for the well wishes and advice!!! I feel lucky!

MAYA, You are a DOLL for your comment! Thanks for all of your insight! I hope the difficult one turns it around soon for you and I hope your angels continue to be just that! :) Hugs!
